Located in Yuhang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, Liangzhu Museum is an archaeological site museum integrating collection, research, display and publicity of Liangzhu culture.
Liangzhu Museum covers an area of more than 40,000 square meters, with a building area of about 10,000 square meters, designed by Mr. David Chipperfield, a famous British architect. The simple shape of the building breaks through the constraints of figurative forms, reflecting the harmonious integration of art and nature, history and modernity.
In June 2018, Liangzhu Museum completed the upgrading of regular exhibitions, and the new exhibition won the 2019 “National Museums + Great Exhibition Excellence Award”. The theme of the exhibition is “Liangzhu is the holy land that proves the civilization history of China for more than 5,000 years”, relying on the “water country”, “civilization holy land”, “jade soul and national spirit” three exhibition halls, comprehensive, three-dimensional, real display of Liangzhu site and Liangzhu culture archaeological achievements, heritage value, reflecting the Liangzhu civilization in the “multiple integration” of Chinese civilization. Liangzhu civilization in the Chinese civilization of “diversified one” in the process of historical development of an important position and unique contribution.
The hospital focuses on Liangzhu culture jade, stoneware, pottery and lacquer wood and other kinds of precious relics.
